IGKK Announces Own List for Municipal Election
In a recent press release, the “Interessengemeinschaft Kehler für Kehl” (IGKK) announced its plans to form an overpartisan list for the upcoming municipal election in June. The announcement came after the initiative, led by spokesperson Thomas Brinkmann, was rejected by the Gemeinderat in December. Despite the parallel meeting of the Gemeinderat, the first citizens’ assembly of the IGKK drew a significant crowd.
Empowering the Voices of Kehl Residents
The primary goal of the IGKK is to amplify the voices of Kernstadt and Sundheim residents in local politics and administration. To achieve this objective, Thomas Brinkmann emphasized the importance of increasing the number of Kernstadt representatives in the Gemeinderat. The IGKK aims to address key issues such as city development, traffic situations, future healthcare provision, local environmental protection, and promoting youth initiatives.
Engaging with the Community
The recent citizens’ assembly saw lively discussions between the attendees and the IGKK representatives. A range of important and forward-looking topics were raised, reflecting the IGKK’s commitment to a citizen-oriented approach. The IGKK expressed enthusiasm in continuing to pursue these topics in line with the interests of the community.
Joining the IGKK Movement
Several participants expressed a strong interest in actively participating in the IGKK’s initiatives. The IGKK encourages further engagement from community members and welcomes individuals who wish to contribute to their cause. The next citizens’ assembly is scheduled for March 14th at 7:00 PM in the Feldscheune, where the IGKK list candidates will be introduced.
